Application for S.1 Admissions for Academic Year 2023 – 2024 (Second Round)

  1. TTCA accepts online applications ONLY. Please submit ONE application per child.
  2. Basic Information
    a. Application Period 22 May, 2023 (Monday) to 11 July, 2023 (Tuesday) at 5:00 p.m.
    b. Admission Examination 12 July, 2023 (Wednesday)
    (1) 9:00 am – 12:00 noon
    (2) 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
    c. Announcement of Results On or before 14 July 2023
  3. Online Application
    1. Parents or guardians should ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete. Please be reminded to upload the required documents listed as follows:
      • A recent photo of the applicant
      • HKID Card / Passport
      • Academic reports of each term in Primary 5 and Primary 6
      • At most 4 diplomas / certificates of special skills or achievement awards (if any)
    2. Non-local applicants are advised to read Point 8(d) and Point 9 carefully.
    3. It is the parent or guardian's responsibility to provide an accurate and valid email address for correspondence. If you do not receive the application confirmation email after submitting the application, please contact the Admissions Team by email (admission@ttca.edu.hk) within 3 working days.
    4. All personal data provided will be treated in strict confidentiality and used for admissions-related purposes by the school only. Information will be destroyed once the admissions procedure is completed.
  4. Application Fee: HK$100 (non-refundable and non-transferable) Payments should be made by credit card through the e-Application System for S.1 admissions. Failure to settle the payment would render the application unsuccessful.
  5. Applications are assessed based on the following criteria
    • Performance in admission exams
    • Conduct of each term should be B or above
    • Extra-curricular activities participation and community services
  6. Admission Examination
    1. Each applicant may select one of the above time slots for the Admission Examination.
    2. The Admission Examination includes Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics.
  7. Admission Results
    1. Successful candidates will be notified by phone.
    2. Parents of successful applicants are required to complete the registration process in person at the school and settle the tuition deposit by the due date. Applicants who fail to do so would be considered as having given up the place offered.
  8. Tuition Fee and Scholarships
    1. The S.1 tuition fee should be settled in 10 monthly installments. The current tuition fee for S.1 in the academic year 2022-2023 is HK$38,700. The tuition fee for the 2023-2024 is currently pending review.
    2. Scholarships and bursaries are granted to diligent students and students with financial difficulties respectively.     3. The application forms for fee remission and scholarship can be obtained from the General Office, or downloaded from the school website under “Useful Information”.
    4. Non-permanent residents of Hong Kong are entitled to a different tuition fee. Please contact the school for further information.
  9. Non-local Student
    1. Non-local applicants should enclose the following in their applications:
      • A photocopy of the approval from the Director of Immigration for the purpose of study
      • A photocopy of a valid travel document showing the permitted duration of stay in Hong Kong
    2. Applicants holding a Form of Recognizance will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will not be admitted until the school receives a confirmation of admission from the Senior School Development Officer and Director of Immigration.
  10. TTCA uses English as the medium of instruction. All lessons, apart from Chinese, Chinese History and some specified subjects, are conducted in English. An assessment in Putonghua will be held in July for admitted students who have opted for Putonghua as the medium of instruction for Chinese Language. The decision of the school shall be final.
